Where Wine Meets Wow!

Check out the Building Plans for our new development, due to launch in November 2024. We are looking forward to seeing the progress over the next 12 months, as our new Yarra Valley Wedding Venue, function space, ceremony space, restaurant, extended deck and cellar door tasting room takes shape.
Feels like the home stretch for 458! Ridgeline Glass & Glazing have been busy with glass installation and the remaining feature entry and exit doors and windows will be installed within the next two weeks getting us to official lockup stage.
Our heating and cooling systems are now installed and operational. The tradies are now working in comfort! Our plaster is all but complete and painting is well under way. The blockwork is in progress to get ready for our stunning new Cheminees Philippe wood fireplace. Waterproofing of wet areas is complete and French pattern travertine tiling is in progress. Our stonemason is ahead of schedule and exterior stonework is 60% complete bringing the building to life. The beautiful Victorian Ash hardwood floor timbers have arrived, as well as the interior French Pattern feature tiles, and these will be ready to lay within the next 4-6 weeks, then out cabinet makers can get to work on our new bar.
Now that the heavy lifting is done, we are starting to tidy up the outside areas getting ready to shape, plant and landscape our amazing gardens, outdoor function and ceremony areas.
We are so excited to be on track for a December launch. Until then, we are open for business as usual in our cellar door and restaurant. Pop out to visit and check out the project underway!
Wow, it has certainly been a busy and exciting few weeks since our last project update. We are well past the half way mark now!
Skate Constructions have been absolutely incredible, big shout out to Luke and Nicko. All the work is perfectly sequenced and the build site is alwasy a flurry of activity with dozens of different tradies on site. One of the best parts is that we are using all local trades wherever possible so there is a lot of excitement in town about the project and also from our cellar door patrons and passing traffic. Now that all the main structures are in place and we are moving into the fit out stage. To say we are ecstatic would be a huge understatement.
Last week, our beautiful natural stone cladding was delivered and the stonemason work is underway. With great anticipation, our huge floor to ceiling windows were delivered and installed last week. Every panel captures its own picture of the stunning vineyard and mountain background, definitely a big wow factor! All the electrical, plumbing, aircon, data and security has been roughed in and, over the next few weeks, the plaster work will be completed.
We are on track to meet our completion date of November. In the meantime, we are open for business as usual, so come and see it for yourself!
Things are moving along at lightning pace and we are well on track to meet our launch window. Most of the scaffolding has come down now and has revealed the stunning view that will be a huge wow factor when we open. We’ve made loads of cool variations along the way including creating an exclusive and private dining room below for up to 30 people.
The design of the new bars is underway and we will also have a beautiful cast iron Cheminees Philippe wood fireplace with casual lounges in front to soak up the views in relaxed comfort on those cooler days. We have also come up with a clever way to open up the new space and bring the outdoors inside with full length bi-fold glass doors opening straight on to the deck. It will be breathtaking.
All the structure is there and now we are in the exciting phase of internal design and fitout selections to make this new venue really pop. Yep, there will be hot and cold water and electric hand dryers in the bathrooms too – yay finally!
Rockin’ some pretty big developments of the building front this fortnight. We have floors. We have walls. We have roof. We have plumbing. We have the beginnings of electrics. It’s all getting very exciting! We’re still open business as usual Thursday to Monday 10-5pm, pop out and see us take shape!
Hive of activity out at 458. Look at her go! Under floor prep, reinforcements, internal structural foundations, lots of scaff, awaiting the roof and concrete pour in the next few weeks.Â
Building Update. So much has changed in a week. To watch it come to life before our eyes is so exciting. Can picture it already!
Big day at Boat O! Bloody big crane turned up this morning and steel structure started going in. She’s starting to take shape! And yes, we’re still open for business all the way through, same great wine, same great food, same great vibe.
Hoarding is going up around our new building site and excavations have well begun to lay the footing for our new development. Had lots of machinery on site lately to assist in the digging and labour. It's a big site and we're excited about what the future holds for us.
